USPS tracking sucks...

So I bought something off an eBay vendor and paid paypal, he said he sent out the item on the 23rd, providing me with a tracking number but unlike UPS it never tells your crap, where it is or anything... I plug it in and it tells me to check back later because USPS. It says that they where notified of the item and to check back. UPS would tell me when it went out, where it is now and an expected arrival date. This was sent USPS Priority.

Sometimes they try to deliver and take it back when no one answers the door. They don't write this in the tracking info though. Call your local post office see if you have any packages under your adress.

this is being sent to the university... so they BETTER NOT FUCK IT UP! I've been too anxious for this.

usps doesn't do anything very well...it's run by the government after all

USPS Priority mail is fine, they delivery 6 days a week and they have never lost a package I've sent or received.

The only problem is the tracking

USPS does suck. Its only nice for cross country shipping becasue it gets there a little faster than ground services from fedex or ups.

USPS usually only tells you when the package is delivered. Until then the status is always "billing info received." And stop creating threads!!

Jeez, I only just shipped it, dont freak out yet. I mean I understand your enthusiasm as this is really a rarity.

BTW, I fed her just before I sealed the box, but she will be hungry upon delivery. Wear welding gloves and have some some rare meat ready when you open her up. Oh, and no quick movements...

USPS tracking does suck, but priority shipping itself is pretty good, I use it all the time.
UPS tracking system is far superior tho.

USPS lost my plates, registration, and spare key. I bought my car from a dealer in another city and all that was sent in a priority mail envelope. To this day, nobody knows what happened to it.
