Will you have the space to keep your e92 and f8x covered by a roof?

I think you should wait to test drive before making a decision. You might not like the S55 engine in the f8x

I have a wide range of options but I'm not considering selling the e92 just yet. I do like the look of the new m3/m4 but I'm also into the new e63 amg s. It's a tough decision since I love bmw's :/

But I'm also concerned that if I trade it in that I'll regret it someday - it's not only special as last NA M3, but also my first M car ever - so as long as things are good financially, I'm leaning in favor of keeping it alongside the new F80 (long term plan keep E93 and the F80 would be periodically replaced by a newer model)

I was in similar situation. I traded in my 2011 E92 M3 for a 2016 M3 sedan. It was a tough decision but the last V8, naturally aspirated thing in the end was not enough to keep it. The F80 is a better car as far a performance, efficiency and interior esthetics. Of course, this is very subjective. I just like torque and the E92 lacked torque. Its all personal preference. I just could not justify having both.

I had both for about a month while selling my f80. I ended up just driving the e92 and made me realize it would make no sense to keep both
