On the earlier topic about buttons, I think they will be there. Most of the front windshield is HUD so there might not be menus to scroll through.

Almost all news outlets were saying this would be the regular Neue Klasse design, because probably nobody could’ve even thought that there would be tiny vertical grills hiding in the middle.

At this moment it seems like a very weird design decision. So sedans will get grills and lights in one and SUV’s will get the same but with an added vertical grill on the middle. That would be so strange.

I agree.

In all the cars that I’ve owned in my lifetime, only twice have I purchased more than one car from the same company: VAG (not even the same brand), and BMW.

Sometimes I changed because I had a bad experience with a car. Other times I would have purchased again from a company that treated me well, but it no longer offered a model that matched what I wanted to buy.

I almost did not buy my new BMW this year, because my first choice was a wagon to replace my BMW wagon, and BMW no longer imports wagons to the U.S. My second choice was a hatchback equivalent to a wagon, but I couldn’t find an M440xi Gran Coupe with the options that I want. I did consider an S5, VW Arteon, etc.

I decided that I like the X3 M40i enough to purchase it. But I’m not fond of SUVs in general. That notwithstanding, so far so good.

The i4/i5 are compromised designs due to the styling. They do not have the low CD necessary to propel the car a proper distance with the available battery sizes. Compromises will absolutely have to be made in order to get maximum range out of EVs.

The i4/i5 do not have a practical real-world range IMHO.
