Carribean Family All inclusive?

I am looking for any suggestions of a great family oriented all inclusive in the Carribean? I have three kids between 5 and 14. Looking at Dominican Replubic, Cuba, St. Lucia or Mexico.

Check out Cayman Islands or Atlantis.

I would recommend not bringing the family to Mexico.

St.Lucia has a couple of Sandals resorts which I've heard nice things about and the island is pretty. DR is the DR - cheap but a little shady when you get off the resort.

As an American, Cuba has never been an option so I can't offer an opinion there.

St. Lucia Sandals resorts are sweet. spent 8 nights there a while back. But Sandals is 18 years and up. Their sister resorts called Beaches is what you want.

We did Beaches Jamaica, mahn about 10 years ago. It was the start of the all-inclusive for me. We stayed at a newly-acquired resort that had only about 130 rooms. By the second or 3rd day the lady at the omellette bar knew how I liked my eggs slightly less than brown, and the bar tenders just refilled my glass when I walked up to the bar.

There, we couldn't just walk off the resort property along the waterline, we had to check out/in with a guard. Random peddlers also couldn't walk in/out of the beach property.

We had access to the larger sister Beaches resorts, and went for a day. It was so huge, impersonal, and crowded that we quickly returned to our little spot in the beach.

I would recommend Jamaica or Atlantis in the Bahamas. I haven't heard of many inclusive deals in the Bahamas but there are a ton of deals for Jamaica. Atlantis is a huge resort and would be good for families. Aside from that there isn't much to do outside of the resort. Jamaica has more things to do (Dunn's River Falls, Negril, Bill's Cafe, etc). They also have a bunch of big resorts that you could stay at that are family friendly (like others mentioned Beaches). We stayed at the Hilton Rosehall and liked it. It was pretty tranquil and they do have all inclusive deals.

Atlantis is farther north than most other places mentioned here. A girl from work went last year in Feb and it was 55 for the whole long weekend she was there.

Stay away from the DR. I go to my friends house there every few years and they don't leave the gated neighborhood. It's far from anything safe. They even have heavily armed military guards at the entrances to the neighborhood. Plus there is almost nothing to do there. After having been to almost all of the islands in the Caribbean, St. Lucia was without a doubt one of my favorites. You get to experience nature is it's rawest form. The rainforest walk to the waterfall was an incredible tour. I'm just not a fan of Mexico for multiple reasons. I really want to goto Cuba. I've heard from friends that the diving and fishing are some of the best in the world because it's pretty much untouched.

a 5* in cuba is equivalent to a real 3* at most. however, the beaches in cuba are very nice.
i, personally, love the resorts and beaches in the mayan riveira, mexico. (don't know how safe it is these days though)

We also did the Moon Palace in Cancun,Mexico last year in July. I was afraid it would be way too hot but it was a family destination wedding.

I eat and drink a lot on vacation, and my 14yo son can put away a decent meal at least 3x a day, so I think we make out on the all-inclusives.

Palace resorts are big, but the Moon is off the beaten path and has a lot of things to do right there. It's about a mile from the road, and EVERYONE has to check in the front gate, so if you can make it fromt he airport to the resort, you should be safe. It's one of the closest to the airport.
