I love my gold card, even put the down payment for my car on it. I'd love the platinum but the yearly fee is a bit much for it to just look cute in my wallet. You can write off the yearly fee if you use it for business, which I don't.

I make multiple payments per month on my Amex...that alone, more then any card has sent my credit score sky rocketing since I got it. I recommend it to anyone that needs to improve their credit score.

I made a same mistake by closing credit card accounts and immediately my credit score went down. do not close your account.

Got my Amex at the beginning of summer and love the rewards and point system. Great customer service as well. Hope to stay with them for as long as possible and get more cards

I spent about $5-8,000/mo on the card. Prob $75-80k/yr. Much of it is traveling, which is a 2% bonus.
