My share of M2 pics in person
Stopped by Crevier (got my G80 from them back in 2021) to see the G87. Interesting thing about the ZB. The last pic looks like the car is BG when the light is shining at it. Overall, I like it.

A homemade widebody kit like below looks better than this turd. Turds, turds and more turds from BMW

Damn.....I was hoping it would be better than the early leaked photos of the front end. But it's worse. Now I have to decide whether to keep my 135i or get a used previous gen M2.

Prior gen 10x better looking.
It works in black (barely) and no other color just like the G80/2. Just another step back in design from BMW, hate to see it. |

It maybe the best performing M2 but not many will think it is the best looking.

That's my biggest issue with the car. Everything else is fine with me but the front lower fascia is my main gripe.

Both ends are horrendous to me. Those lower side vents/grills are so overdone, I can't help but compare them to overly done breast implants. The front center grills are not much better than the M3/M4.

Tacky. I don't know who the audience for this childish and inelegant design is. China? It looks like something a 12 year old might draw. |

It's amazing. I know this car is ugly both outside and inside and still I find it attractive. It's like "properly ugly" while the previous generation looks too "sweet" to me. What is hopelessly horrendous are the rear lights. But so are my car's headlights: a BMW feature, perhaps. It's absolutely fortunate the anniversary "rainbow" badge isn't mandatory! I guess I could tolerate the "towels" near the inside handles, but may be not this yet. And, of course, I would really hope there is a better picture for the instrument TV screen to display, an analog-like one instead.

One of the butt ugliest cars BMW has ever made IMO. And to think it's replacing such a perfect and pretty prior generation M2. Sure beauty is subjective but what the heck was BMW thinking? Yuk IMO. The front end reminds me of a snow plow truck or prior gen F150 with a bit of 4Runner thrown in..

I think it's plain as hell from most angles and ugly from some. Now I can understand why some are saying the previous gen was better looking, IMO as well it was, but the previous gen on its own accord was not a nice looking car, it was ugly as well IMO.

The wheels look stretched quite badly in the pics too, especially the rears. Parking sensors on the front bumper are atrocious too.
Prefer the F87. |

Wow, I am surprised after the current M3 bucktooth backlash they continued with it. These photos just made the out going M2 worth even more.

I think one of the biggest problems with the car is how sunken the wheels are and how much wheel gap there is. Even though it is running 275/285. It makes the already ugly wide body look even worse because it doesn't hug the wheel/tires. It is just sitting on top of it like a garage made custom wide body kit you design at home but can't find wheels wide enough for it.
