I just heard this today on a local TV interview with the guy who was doing the pushing.

Pardo's Push was an aviation maneuver carried out by Captain Bob Pardo in order move his wingman's badly damaged F-4 Phantom II to friendly air space during the Vietnam War.[1]

Holy crap thats crazy. He likely saved the 2 in the other plane from torture by the VC or worse. That was some quick thinking.
