CIC retrofit

So I was looking on few forums and trying to get to final conclusion here. I have 2008 LCI 550i and I am looking to add CarPlay to it. Main issue is that the car came with older CCC system. Only last mode year came with the one I need. If I happen to find proper main conputer from E60 will I need any coding ? I realize all screens are the same but modules differ between cars. So let’s say I can use E90 screen but no main unit without proper coding. Keep in mind it’s an LCI so I don’t want need to change climate control module IHKA. If anyone has knowledge on the topic I’d appreciate it !

Well. To whoever is interested there’s a way to add CarPlay without upgrading to CiC.
