truly sad indeed, my condolences to the families, may they find peace.

what a way to go, some of the kids were just entering college while others leaving, 4 years going to school and almost finishing and this happens. Shows what a messed up world we live in.

at my school today there was a big banner in the main hall where people could sign and leave a message for the students at VT. after the end of the week, we're sending it to them. i thought it was really nice! i still can't believe this happened...

If you want to jump to your own shallow conclusions, go for it. Please dont lessen the prayers and concerns of those of us genuinely well wishing for the families and friends of those directly affected.

If you want to take this to the Political forum, do so... just not here...

This is just horrible. All I can do is pray for the families who lost their loved ones and friends.

My heart also goes out to the shooter's families. Can you imagine what they are going through to find that one of your family member was the shooter? How do you face the world?

I graduated from University of Illinois in 1990. We rarely had to deal with school shootings back then. Now days it seems like it happens every week. I have 2 young boys and I sometimes wonder what the world would be like for them when it's time for them to go to highschool and to college.

Keep praying.

Peace.

thinking about this i just realized how no matter how much sports puts us up against one another it is the one thing that can help bring us closer together in times of hardship and crisis......

I graduated from UCLA and will always be a bruin....but since this tragedy i consider myself a hokie as well......

I told my parents about this and they were so sorry for those who have lost their lives. Then my dad told my uncle, who's here visiting from Vietnam, and he was pissed off. It's just sooo wrong. So wrong!!!
