how do you pronounce wengue

so, I had paneling done to my office
and the dude that was doing it was telling me that I should get a "wengue" color

and he pronounced it Van-gay.. so at first I had no idea what he was talking about so I thought he was bat shit crazy and started laughing.. turns out it is a real color.. (a nice one too, at least the one I got)

so was he pronouncing it right?

Yep ...he was. It's pronounced exactly the same as Ben-Gay but with a "V".

btw a quick google search says

1) it's spelled wenge
2) it's pronounced "wen-gay"
