Tip: marking your position on Nav system

One very useful feature on most nav systems, but not on i-drive nav is the ability to 'mark' your current position so that you can easily navigate back to it at a later date or time.

I looked in the manual and there is a heading 'Storing your current position*' in there where you are meant to be able to this through the Address Book menu. This however appears to be unavailable on my Pro Nav system.

Anyway I found a way around this if you guys are interested:

1. Go to the Destination Input Map
2. Select 'Show Vehicle Position'
3. Select 'Start route guidance', the system will say "destination reached" as you've just tried to navigate to where you are sitting at the moment.
4. Your current position will now automatically appear in the Destination List.
5. You can then leave it there or save in in your Address Book.

This is a round about way to mark your current position, but it is the only way I found that you can do what is done with a single button press on my portable Garmin unit.

That sucks if the 135i does not have that feature. Even the nav on my 120i allows me to store the current location!
