E60 electrical issue, stumped
2006 520d
Jump started the car and since then the front passenger and driver windows stopped going up. They would go down with no problem but the key had to be held in order to bring them back up. They aren't making noises or moving inconsistency So the motor and regulator is fine? Tried resetting the window position again today by holding the switches but that didn't work. When I went to use the car key trick to bring them back up the key stopped working. So they're stuck fully down omegle xender . Tried resetting the ecu by connecting the positive and negative for 30 mins, still nothing. Tried swapping fuses and they all work all the windows cause a short click before engaging from the fuse box. The front do this when going down but not when you try to pull them up No idea where to go from here any help would be greatly appreciated Last edited by alfro; 12-25-2023 at 12:12 AM.. |

It is possible that the anti-trap function of the windows is not working, and sometimes the initialization through the buttons does not proceed correctly. It might be better to use the locking functions through the ISTA system to ensure proper initialization.
