Mosley to step down as FIA President
Following today's World Motor Sport Council meeting held in Paris, FIA President Max Mosley stated that an agreement has been reached with the FOTA alliance, thereby putting an end to the rebel teams' plans to set up a breakaway series next year.

The "rebel teams' plans"???? Sounds like FOTA is equivalent to the rebel alliance.
Glad they finally took down Darth Mosley though. |

Was kinda hoping FOTA would succeed and form a break-away series. Sick of the drama infused FIA / F1 governance.
Eager for the drama to disappear and the sport to return to its core - RACING on the cutting edge of technology. Imagine that huh? |

It’s good news and bad news. Nobody would like to see F1 degradation or demise but it means that Bernie will continue to siphon off money from the sport. Some tracks like Indy and Montreal can’t afford Bernies high price. Same for the TV rights.

Former Ferrari sporting director Jean Todt has been mentioned as a possible Mosley successor. Mosley will hand over all matters relating to Formula One to Michel Boeri, chairman of the FIA senate, with immediate effect.

Formula One Teams' Association vice chairman John Howett has called for Max Mosley's successor as president of the FIA to be fully independent of the competitors. The Toyota team president believes that whoever is elected to take over the role from Mosley in October must have no current or historic links to the F1 teams.
This is a clear hint that FOTA would not be keen on former Ferrari boss Jean Todt, who has been linked with the position, taking over.

Mosley is rethinking his decision to step down!!!
Mosley is furious that FOTA representatives have claimed that FIA Senate president Michel Boeri is now in change of F1, that he himself was forced out of office and that he would have no role in the FIA once he steps down in October.

Max Mosley has revealed that he will write his memoirs after he stands down from the FIA presidency this October – and promises they will include some “explosive” stories from his life as one of Formula 1's main powerbrokers.

No one is interested in reading about his other sexual fantasies. I wish this prick would get hit in the face by a tire.
