My nose has been blasted 3 times playing soccer. When the surgeon finished the procedure to straighten it out the last time, he said had no idea how I managed to breathe as it was a complete mess full of bone fragments and calcium deposits. I told him that it was easy...either breathe or die. Next.

Only other injury was playing hockey and I attempted to check someone with my hands up and went through them into the glass and shattered my wrist. Had to have my mom zip up my zipper because didn't have any movable function in my right hand.


Getting older sucks. Need to be more cautious because ER is the last place to end up these days in the US.

Coolest injury I ever had was from falling through the ceiling while trying to get a few boxes from the attic. I fell through and broke one finger and dislocated three. I fixed the dislocated ones with a piece of 2x6 as I was dangling through the ceiling. Seeing your own body distended is quite disturbing. After I climbed back down I jammed the hand in a bucket of ice.

I may have had a couple of glasses of wine before I went into the attic. I may have carried a glass of wine up the ladder with me, as well.

Best part is I don't even remember much of mine. I was riding my horse and next thing I remember I'm in the ambulance. My head by my temple was split wide open, hair gone, everything. Apparently I fell off my horse and it way I hit my head on the fence knocked me out cold. My trainer thought I was dead.
