I have been reading about the universe, particle physics, etc for decaes and decades. This book gets to the heart of all of it in 2 hours of easy reading. Its unbelievable!!
In that vein, Fabric of the Cosmos is a wonderful book that does an excellent job of explaining very complex theory. Brian Greene is brilliant.

I started to enjoy the WEB book. Possibly too much. I looked up from reading in bed and it was 11:58. I get up at 05:30

Now, I'm struggling to decide if I should tough it out, or go home and crawl back into bed with the book

The protagonist is a bit of a mix of both Ken McCoy and Pick Pickering from The Corps series - young, capable, handsome, family money....
I'm halfway through the first book in the series "Men in Blue". Jury is still out. It started off with a grab. Lots and lots of characters to keep track of but nothing really happening with the story line. I'm waiting to see if/when it all comes together. It is a quick read. Will keep you posted.

Fat loss forever - Layne Norton

I spent 3 years in college as a dietetics student and this book taught me 10x what I learned in those courses.

Still doing "Rise and fall of the third reich", muddling through nazi domestic policy 1934 and 1935. I might have to switch and reread "Rogue Warrior", the Marchinko autobiography.

I've read most of them. Start from the beginning of the series. The early books were great! The last few I started were disappointing to the point that I didn't finish them. I just couldn't get into them. Which is surprising because the early books grabbed you from the start. Not sure if maybe he is trying to push them out too fast . Anything up to maybe 3 years ago was really good.

I read them in the order by publish date. This link shows chronological. I actually haven't read the first three on this list so I'll give them a shot and add to the poolside reading material.

https://www.goodreads.com/series/187...ological-order

EDIT: It looks like the first three are short stories on kindle/audio books. I was wondering why I never saw them. I need a book, I need to turn pages.

OK, I finished Men in Blue. It was an easy read but the book didn't do it for me. It started out fast with back to back murders in the first few chapters but that was all the action. Afterwards, it kept introducing different players - lots of names and characters with really no need. Three hundred something pages of nothing.

I bought the first three in the series. I will start the second "Special Operations". Hopefully it will be better. Maybe I just picked the wrong series.

I picked up 2 Neal Asher books from the SpatterJay series on Friday. Wildly imaginative brutal life on other worlds kind of stuff, having a hard time putting it down so far.
