F85 X5M. Rear axle has air shocks. Just traded in mine. Miss it but did not want to deal with depreciation. Wait a few months then get one...with full leather. Completely floatY is an MBGLS.

The m40i does not have comfort mode?

Cayenne with air suspension and adjustable dampers is perfect imo.

Volvo XC60 and XC90 have air suspension options. My wife has an X3 M40i and I just picked up a new 2019 XC60 T6 Inscription without the air suspension (otherwise it is fully loaded) and even without the air ride it is a much better ride than her M40i is. The interior and tech of the XC60 is well above the M40i as well. The M40i is quicker, though.

Is the Volvo tech glitchy at all like the land rover range rover jag?

Drove an XC60 recently for half a week and was very, very impressed with not only the ride, but especially quality of the seats. Extremely comfortable. Only thing I noted was the laggy infotainment system.

Many criticize adjustable dampers because they point to the fixed spring rate limiting overall adjustability. Air suspension eliminates this criticism as then you have adjustable springs and dampers. The other nicety is the ability change ride height without swapping springs or adjusting perches.

I have heard that complaint from a few people on the forums, but I have had zero problems with mine. January 2019 build. Also, I have the Nappa leather package with the massaging seats....dreamy.
