my 550i is somewhere due to come to me in a few weeks.
its white, and im planning on doing a few things including black grill, black roof, and.. tell me if this is possible: black rear diffuser around the exhaust. is this molded onto the bumper or is it seperable? i havent gotten a good look so im hoping another 2009+ 550i owner can help me out. thanks, will post pics upon delivery. |

it might be easier to actually just purchase aftermarket black grills, depending how handy you are. The process of sanding the grills and painting them evenly can get tricky if you DIY.
AW with black grills, roof, and diffuser is a great look... you should check out 5series.net as well for pics...there are a re few e60's there with that look. IIRC the rear diffuser is detachable and paintable. A local body shop should be able to help you out.... For the roof, have you considered Vinyl wrap rather than paitning it...again, another great option... GL with your mods...

also i will not be painting the roof, if i said that i was wrong.. i will be using vinyl. the diffuser is pretty tricky to take out, but its nothing i cant handle. pics of my car are on e90post if youre intrested.. |
