E60 LCI Xenons - Best D1S Bulb?
As per title, can somebody recommend me the best D1S bulb for my E60?
It is an LCI with adaptive xenons. I used to have Osram CBIs and Philips WhiteVision on various other cars but never quite got the 6000k colour temp that I was seeking. I had a google but most Philips bulbs I found that were in the region of 6000k-7000k seem to only be available in the US? And being from the UK that would suck for import tax on an already expensive bulb... ($140 range). We do have the 6000K MTEC bulbs in the UK but before I shell out £120 for something that could potentially look the same as a £30 chinese 6k bulb I wanted to get some advice on here. Thanks! Edit: For reference here are some links. Cheap 6k bulbs with good reviews £19.95 for a pair: http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/d1s-35w...nt-bulbs-pair/ MTEC 6k bulbs with GE burners £125 for a pair: http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/2-x-mte...th-ge-burners/ CBIs at £48 per bulb: http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/osram-d...cbi-brand-new/ Sid

Replace the xenons with LED bulbs, like what Umnitza sells. go with high quality only, and only get bulbs with active cooling fans built in. Avoid units with a mass of ground straps that are for passive cooling, those run much hotter and dimmer, with shorter led life.
Done it on two BMWs, and love the results. Brighter, whiter, and cleaner beam. Less heat to fade and yellow the plastic headlight covers.
