Anyone try ebay suspension kits (control arms/bushings) etc.?

I was curious if anyone has tried to use the less expensive control arms/tie rod/bushing kits off ebay for the E60 and how they compared to stock?

Currently I have a pretty bad knocking sound, my thrust bearings are bad so I need to go through the front of the car (111k miles). My left front strut is leaking bad too.

Struts I was going to get Billstein B4s.
While I was in there, because the thrust bushings are going, I was just going to do it all.

Here's a couple examples, would love your opinions or person experience if you have it.

Ebay suspension kit - $160

Rock Auto Mevotech - $362

Quite the price difference for both being non-oem.

I suppose I could also just get bushings and rent a press...maybe that's better all around.
