Question about U.S. Saving Bonds
I have two gift certificates worth $600 in U.S. savings bonds. I got these many years ago and they have probably matured by now. How do I go about redeeming these savings bonds? Is there any way I can look up the status of the bonds?

Go here:
Savings Bond Calculator Also, on the left side of that page, there is a link to the Savings Bond Wizard, a very good toll to track your interest. |

To cash them in, just go to any local bank. I had cashed some in for college and forgot if there was a form you had to fill out, but I remember it was easier than I thought it was going to be.

Please reinvest into some new bonds.
Specifically the ones they're giving out here in California. I just heard the Governator on the radio advertising them. I know you don't live here but we need the money http://www.buycaliforniabonds.com/ |

I will have to look for my saving bonds, all i found was a piece of paper saying someone had bought me a bond in my name as a gift and I would recieve it in the mail. This was 10+ years ago. If I can not find the actual bond am I out of the money?
