Car thieves scrap car overnight, including removing the engine

It's one thing to have your radio or lights stolen, but the engine as well!

They didn't even leave the steering wheel

Lol, I could remove the engine and trans in a supra in about 45 mins....I'm no "pro" and since it was my car or a customer's I was being careful so I'm sure with the right frame of mind that could be improved upon greatly. The rest of the stuff would take longer I think, it's all more fiddly.

Yeah, if you don't care it's much easier. Remove subframe and motor mount bolts and let it drop, especially if the rad and support are out....I've done similar many times when I was drag racing, in the pits without pickers or lifts, often times in the dark. Engine and trans swaps.

I worked on cars for years before I ever got next to a lift
