So while my debit card/the gas pump cut off at $100 last night, there won't be a corresponding run on blinker fluid - whew!

I haven’t gotten there yet but only because I fill up at 1/2 or worst case 1/4 tank. $85 to fill up Friday. $5.39 super. I know you’re more expensive in CA. Diesel is through the roof.

So a while back I changed insurance companies. They offered a discount if I signed up for their 'safety' program consisting of placing a tracker in your windshield and downloading the app on your phone. The discount seemed significant so I said 'sure'.

I confess, I keep the tracker on a shelf in my garage and only take it with me when I'm simply running to the grocer or some other mundane task.

But for S&G the other day I took the tracker with me in the M3 on a coulee run, we don't have canyons in western Wisconsin, just to check it out. Later when I checked my score on the app, holy smokes! ACCELERATION! SPEEDING! BRAKING! CORNERING! ... repeat. Needless to say my score with the M3 is now in the crapper.

I further confess, sometimes I take the M3 tracker with me in the truck when I'm hauling brush and recycling to town. I've gotta log some sane scores somehow.

Whew! I feel much better now.

WTF were you thinking? My insurance company asked me a few years ago and I immediately turned it down. They then tried to shame me into doing it. Why wouldn't I want it? It will only be used for good to reduce your rates. Sure... No freakin way. They went on to ask if I frequently do abrupt stops and accelerates. I asked the person where they were from which turned out to be bumble f*ck no where. I asked if she had any idea what a rush hour commute was like in NYC.

I hate this big brother nonsense.

Lol, I signed up to my insurance saying yeah I'll let you track my driving, and started $182/mo (or around).

Then i obviously never did that so they "punished" me by removing my discount. I'm paying $189/mo now

$7 doesnt even get me a chipotle bowl, i'll rather eat at home one more time a month than have my driving habits be tracked and used against me, because believe me they WILL be used against me

Well, I'm sure with you staring into the rearview mirror instead of looking at the road that you have lots of random hard stop/start events in a morning drive to work. Plus with you "playing" with every Tom/Dick/Harry who pulls up behind you in the left lane in a boosted Corolla, wanting to pass you, that your score would be less than say, some other guy's.

We found places in our attic that needed insulation. I kept telling my husband something wasn't right but he ignores me. So, my brother in law was over on Sunday looking at how to fix our air. He pointed this out. My husband works to damn much so I'm taking matters in to my own hands and not telling him. I took measurements this am and sent it to our friend for how much insulation. Just purchased a DeWalt staple gun and 2 different size staples (need to verify size). Going to watch a YouTube video and knock this shit out.

One day he might learn that when I get something on my mind he better jump to action Wish me luck!

See in fairness she didn't properly tag me so I didn't see it until you quoted it, and I think it is because she either really didn't want my thoughts on the matter, or she was sort of distracted by driving at the time...

I'm kidding, I'm kidding. And it turns out I didn't need to reply, I've got friends who have my back!

Please wear gloves and glasses, and long sleeves/pants. Not fun to itch after handling insulation

Otherwise it's really not that bad!

If I ever sent my insurance company a typical data file out of my data logger, they would cancel my policy on the spot!!! On a scrubbed-in set of Hoosier DOT racing tires, my street legal car can pull 1.23g's lateral in a steady-state corner. I launch it by side-stepping the clutch pedal with the engine redlined (usually around 1.0g), and it brakes so hard that I actually made the airbag computer think it was in an accident.

Hoosier daddy, indeed.....

Thanks! It looks fairly easy so I'm up for it. I'm not afraid to get dirty or try something I don't know how to do.

Working with fiberglass bat insulation *is* simple...but you will scratch your skin raw afterwards from all of the tiny glass splinters unless you wear a full Tyvek suit like pickle recommended.....

I think it’s finally safe to put my summer wheels and tires on tomorrow. Hopefully we’re done with overnight temps in the 40s.

And you favorite big box DIY store probably has the disposable version for $2.98 in the paint department. I bought about 5 the last time I had to go up into the attic. Sucks in those higher temps in the attic wearing that thing, but far better than the alternative.

Thanks to la 'Rona now I readily have a few N95 masks around too. Not ideal, but certainly better than nothing.

90% complete with insulation. Didn't need a Tyvek suit. Good ole long sleeve shirt and some old yoga pants. It was hot as a mother up there but happy with the progress.

I never want to be an attic worker in the summer.
