What are your plans? normal MDW routine?

Growing up in NJ this was THE weekend of all weekends. This was the start of summer which actually would end up just being one LONGGGGG weekend until Labor Day weekend. Come Thursday you were packed and ready to hit "The Shore" anytime after lunch on Friday....do not pass go, do not collect $200. Do not make it 45 miles in under 3 hours

Get to the shore, claim your bedroom for the summer. Hang up your Cavarrici's and your wife beater T-shirts and hit the bars for Happy Hour. Don't sleep except on the beach from 11-2:30, shower, gel and back to Happy Hour somewhere different then the day before. This would go on every weekend until Labor Day.

I don't miss any of it.....

I don't miss sitting in traffic leaving NYC and heading out to the Hamptons.

We were "only" DC back in the day and headed to Ocean City every weekend, but I don't miss that crush of humanity.

House is fixed up to sell, so cook out, sip beers and maybe wax the Bimmers'

Yeah, you may have had it worse than me. I do feel like I missed out. I lived 20 miles from Manhattan for 38 yrs and never been to the Hamptons
