Yeah . It was a great fight from RUS vs MAX .

But if MAX didn't got his DRS failures , I'm pretty sure the defence from RUS was just a waste of time ..

At the first moments MAX was thinking he got huge PU powerloss .
This means ..The DRS is very strong at these '22 cars ...

BTW : The Red Bull with the softs was 3 sec. faster even without DRS .

Max couldnt pass RUS because no DRS, and Russel's car was faster on the straigths, so slipstream alone wasn't enough.

The wet weather there has caught out nearly all of the greats,unlike Senna who managed it in the dry when he got carried away within a whisker of winning the race.
We'll see who the real rain master is if there is a shower mid or near the end.

That's not even remotely true. The trap speeds in barcelona qualifying were only significantly higher on Hamilton's car, George's car was essentially equal to max in terms of top speed. This could be due to setup differences resulting in more drag.





Max couldn't pass George because he was absolutely out classed in terms of defense from George, and in a significantly slower car. Just like how you guys absolutely tore Lewis apart when Alonso made it hard for Lewis to pass last year, and called it Lewis being "exposed" the same holds this year for this occasion when Max couldn't pass George - and especially this year when cars are significantly easier to follow.

With or without rain , the pitstop strategy is always crucial at Monaco . OC P1 is the best advantage .

Once that MAX was on softs , his lap times were suddenly 3 sec. faster .
Even with his DRS failures .

BTW : Once on softs , MAX closed his 22sec. gap in only 7 laps !

In other words : The Russell boy had ZERO chance ...
