Speakers went nuts!

So I get in my car on my lunch break turn on the radio and all I hear is a loud static/buzzing and can barely hear the music... I then turned off the radio and the static/buzzing continued... This lasted for a good 15 minutes driving directly to the dealer. I got to the dealer went in for about 10 minutes (the noise was still going even when I turned the car off and walked into the building!!!)... Of course when the SA came back out with me the noise was gone and it has not happened since...

The craziest thing was how the noise continued with the car off and key out of ignition....

Has this happened to anyone else???

your car sounds like its haunted or that there was some cross wiring issues. Like most BMW having electric difficulties.

No static, just no sound whatsoever.

Link

I think I'll do what you did though, next time this happens, I'll just head straight to the dealership since they weren't able to replicate this problem.

It happenend to me about three times, but not for several months. It must be a grounding problem.

It's happened to a few people on here and no one was able to track down a source. Thankfully(?) in most cases it appears to never happen again.
