saw an ultramarine colour plate -- disappointed
I went to my local Toronto BMW dealer today, and guess what? Under the 3-er colour display, I saw 4 new colour plates, including Ultramarine Blue (which perhaps may be only available in Europe?). I asked the idiotic salespeople about the colour, and they just said, "What's Ultramarine Blue? When did those colour plates come in?" LOL
I disappointed with Ultramarine Blue tho. It was a strange, light, pastel blue. I can understand why BMW North America cancelled this colour. I even tried turning the plate to see if the colour would look better from different angles, no such luck! I personally prefer rich, saturated blues, like Mystic Blue. |

Oh sorry, I don't have any photos to show.
I didn't have my camera at the time. I will be going to that dealership again next week, I'll take some photos then. |

Or you can go to bmwusa.com and build a M3. Mystic Blue is one of the color choices.

Yep, Mystic Blue is definitely the darker one. I know it from the E46.

Yes you're right, I checked it..
I thought that mystic was the lighter one, because if you select mystic in the bmw car configurator it's much lighter then in real life or in pictures.. I think it looks beautiful on the E90!! |

Unfortunately, the latest word is that Ultramarine is NOT coming to the USA this fall. The brand new brochures just came out and there is no color chip for it along with Barrique Red, Sonora, or Deep Green. My dealer said it was nixed.

Other than the above photos, are there any others floating around out there? I think I like it better than Monaco Blue...........
