That right there is dead on arrival.

They already backpedaled and said "we will have the Hurricane I6" as well. I'm sure it won't take long of these clogging dealer lots for them to slash the electric models down to one or two, and bring out their next generation V8.

Critically, the V8 and I6 were designed to be interchangeable size wise. If you can fit the I6 in the engine bay, the V8 fits too.

You almost have to feel bad for the automakers for all the money they wasted to have their electric cars flop so hard. They're gonna take some pretty massive losses over the next few years, it's gonna be a rough time for the auto industry.

Also selling EV cars via the dealer paradigm is antithetical to dealer survival since they make a large amount of their profits off servicing vehicles. They aren't dumb. There will be much less routine maintenance to do on EVs. Dealers would be crazy on a long-term basis to promote EVs.

its absolutely wild to think that someone thought this was a good idea at this time... to be fair though.. its time for a rough time in the auto industry after the past few years... if there is any industry that needs deflation this is it.

I mean, it's pretty easy to make the wrong the wrong choice when the big banks have a gun to your head telling you to use more batteries or they're going divest themselves of your stocks and not invest in you and crash your stock price.

I'd be happier with a charger SUV than this EV garbage.

Gross. I will say the Hurricane is an incredible platform/engine. We have one in our 23 Wagoneer and it is not the H.O. Version.

The Charger/Challenger were never light weights, but this thing is a behemoth!! At 5-6,000 lbs and as long as a boat, I can't see anyone wanting this (it NEEDS that kind of HP to move this thing along) - no thanks.

I had a 69 back in the day and was looking forward to seeing this when they started talking about them years ago.

Nope. Ugly as hell. Sad. The guys doing the challenger to old charger look-a-like looks WAY better.

For some reason I'm surrounded by a bunch of Dodge fanboys and I'm sure I can tell that if asked about a EV Dodge or a non V-8 Dodge, the answer would be an unequivocable, Hell NO.

This green insanity shows me that there are a lot of companies that don't know their own buyers. That list includes BMW

This late to EV game and these are the specs? Rather underwhelming for a performance EV.

Also, 5,838lbs...really. With a driver you are over 3 tons.

Going to be real interesting what these are priced at.

I was going to say, Dodge didn't learn from what is going on with Benz's new C63S E-whatever the heck they call it. Most likely, this was already all going on before Benz introduced their fairly bad excuse for a C63 e-whatever.

I have huge doubts about this car, but we will see.

In-line 6 and a manual would be perfect.

The Charger was a part of Australian folklore.

Yes we had our own Charger. It was awesome.

Watch this. You might laugh a bit and forget the hellish era we now live in.

The unbelievable can happen to you.
