Best driving roads in puget sound region?
Hi everyone,
I'm wondering what people's ideas are for good driving roads around the puget sound region. I mostly want roads that are good for a 3 or 4 hour drive that are rather remote, somewhat twisty, that sort of thing. Any tips would be great! Thanks!

So many! A ton of back roads by flaming geyer state park/Black Diamond area. I also like the 101 loop! Hwy 20 - towards Winthrop, a definite must during summer months.
Here's 3 from the Firestone site. Have fun! http://www.firestonelegendarydrives....x?StateCode=48

3-4 hour drive in the puget sound.... thats easy. If you are in downtown seattle on a weekday at about 4:30-5pm get on I5 heading south. Stay on I5 and about 3-4 hours later you will be in federal way. Have fun!

Yup Hwy 20 (North Cascades Highway) is the ultimate imho. A group of us on bimmerforums organize two drives during the summer via Hwy 20...always a blast!

You just have to be careful on blind corners... a LOT of bicyclists during summer months. I scared myself once. I can't even imagine how scared they were...

I've been through there on my Harley and RV as well has with the family. Never spirited driving in my Porsche so I couldn't tell you. I will say that I like being in the middle of the pack when we drive though. Usually, they'll ticket the first few people. Hehe.

Head south on I5 to Hwy 16 west. Follow out to SeaBeck, along the east side of Hood Canal. You'll end up coming off Hwy 16. Once you get to SeaBack, continue South to Allyn. Then, go from Allyn back to Hwy 16, but follow along the north shoreline of the Puget Sound down there. It's a very fun drive.
