I have three reoccurring dreams. I hear that they are fairly common so I don't worry about it. But it is interesting that the same dreams keep coming up.

1) I'm one class short of getting my college degree but I've been skipping the class and have not been doing the homework. I want to make it up so I can graduate but I cannot find the classroom.

2) I'm running naked or close to naked in a public place, usually off the ground with my feet not touching the ground.

3) I'm pissing in a public place but not in a toilet.

I thought I was weird, but after reading these posts I'm pretty sure I'm okay.

This is very similar to mine. I am back at college or HS, as an adult, and something is keeping me from getting to a class, to a room, to my locker, etc.

I lost track how many dreams I had last night, they were all bizarre though.

I had a really wacky dream last night. I was the producer on some sort of live TV celebrity roast. The opening person was some 1970's comedian, who sang the National Anthem as "Jose can you see..." As I was trying to yank him off the stage while dealing with the PC repercussions, Bill Gates was running around the stage passing out pieces of a pizza-sized cookie that was baked using a recipe provided by the White House kitchen. I woke up at this point, feeling like I had lost control for the first time in my life.

Nearest that I can figure, my brain was exploring an alternate what-if reality. When I graduated high school, I had an easy "in" near the top of the television world for a career path, or a more difficult route in computer science. I chose computers, and a career where every day is fighting fires just like that nightmare TV show. Bill Gates making headaches for me in the alternate reality makes sense, as does the White House cookies from something that happened early in my career.....

I would be terrified to watch a recording of me sleeping..... or terrified to record someone else sleeping. I've watched too much paranormal activity to do that...

I kick, swing my arms, jump up, talk, make noises, not sure I want to see that ;-)

It's the same dream over and over for me. It's not every night, but it happens pretty often. I hear my bedroom door open, I hear the sound of footsteps, I can't see it, but it climbs on top of my chest or my head and just sits there. I can't scream, I can't move, I'm frozen in fear. I have the overwhelming sensation it wants to do me harm.

I don't watch a lot of scary movies and I'm not afraid of the dark, so I don't know I must have something I'm afraid of in my subconscious.

This one is simple. It's the direct result of fearing the loss of a jacket.

I've experienced sleep paralysis before.... only once. I literally thought I died and that it was my soul hadn't left my body yet. Trippiest experience of my life.

Will have to check this out later. Oddly, I've been noticing people mentioning bad dreams as of late. The girlfriend has been having terrible dreams for a few months now. Completely unlike her. Even more odd, I have PTSD and hardly have night terrors anymore. I sleep like a rock now somehow.

This thread and that dreams article were very odd & coincidental to be sure…been having these same conversations with my friends and family.

Be well.

You do the same sir and thank you. BTW, you're about 2 hours west of me. Good to see more TN people on here.

Sounds like anxiety to me, or perhaps an unexplored sexual fantasy :-)

It looks like you are afraid of cats. What you describe is their typical behaviour, reportedly. Except for the footsteps, perhaps, but some (or all?) of them can be heard walking on a hard floor.

I get them from time to time. It's a light sleep so you're half awake.

I've convinced myself to just "rollover" rather than try to make myself wake up. If I instruct my body to move in a normal way, then I just wake up after.

I do dream I'm awake a lot too. I will get up out of bed and tell my wife I can't sleep and she tells me I was just snoring.

It's messed with me for years and I didn't believe her b/c it's so real to me.

I now have a Tempurpedic sleep tracker under my mattress and it's helped me learn more about when I think I'm awake vs actually sleeping and dreaming I'm awake. It's pretty damn accurate!

Pretty trippy.

Nope, best friend has a cat. Love it. We must have 10 at the barn.
