Here's another from the same movie. Since the ask was for favorite, I just posted the other one. But this one is pretty good, too!

Point Taken. (ha)

The embarrassing thing is I did see Taken. I just didn't put it together while I was reading the post.

Like I said, no excuses. I'd like to think I'm better than that. Apparently not!

My dad used to joke that we wound up two rows back from where we started in the theater after that scene. Callahan twin, San Antonio Texas.

Too many to list. Some older, some newer. One with such stupendous acting (Christopher Waltz in basically anything Christopher Waltz does) is probably the opening sequence to Inglorious Basterds.

Not a movie but tv. Opening scene to Newsroom.

Leo's solo scene in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

One of the last scenes in Good Will Hunting with Robin Williams

Too many to list but that's off the top of my head. Oouu. The Baba Yaga scene in the first John Wick.

The funny thing is we now know it was just a big rubber fish and that it needed Steven Spielberg's magic touch to make it come alive and scare the holy shit out of us.

I like the scene in "Captain Ron" where he is going head-on with an aircraft carrier and says that the carrier will turn, which was something that he learned at the helm of the USS Saratoga.....

Jeez there are so many but I’ll throw down a classic from my childhood. Even though it was basically trimming of branches and weeds, this scene is still badass.

So many great ones.

Not a huge Tarantino tragic. But the moment in Fassbender's eyes when he knows he is going to die in this scene. The very slight glint. The tiny flinch. The moment of fear and acceptance. 2 mins and 32 seconds.

This scene from "Back to School" is one of my favorites, with the professor saying that whoever wrote the paper (written by Kurt Vonnegut) didn't know the first thing about Kurt Vonnegut:
