I'd pass on the meal. My final request has been submitted to the individual who will be hopefully....."assisting" me with said final request.

If I had to chose a final meal. Calhoun Corner's in Clemson SC would be the place, the meal would depend on my mood.

Pizza - no doubt about it. Even at 50, still my feel good go to when I want to cheat.

I have an insanely restrictive diet, and haven't had any kind of fast food or restaurant food years.

I'd pick chinese food, sweet and sour pork, ginger beef, chicken fried rice, lemon chicken, and spring rolls.
I miss regular-people food. Now it doesn't smell like food any more at all. :S

Why do you have such a restrictive diet? I'd guess celiac, but that wouldn't make sense with what you just picked for your last meal lol.

I immediately thought celiac too...probably just the most common.

About 5 years ago I had my first gout attack. Since then, and unless I wanted to pay a horrible price for a month, (or months) to come, I have avoided all red meat, shellfish, and beer. If I knew this was the last meal for sure, I'd go nuts.

Starters- ceviche, bacon wrapped scallops, and a U-10 shrimp cocktail.
Main- 12 ounce filet mid rare with a nice Bernaise, and twin lobster tails.
MANY 29 degree Coors Lights in a frozen mug
Pistachio Creme Brulee

No rabbit food, no chicken or turkey anywhere to be seen.

A friend of mine had really bad gout for years. It kept getting worse to the point that he couldn’t walk when he had flare ups and they were getting more frequent He started taking medication lately. It works wonders. I made a pot of 150 steamed clams - for 4 people- last week at the beach and he was able to go to town on them with no issues. I’ll find out what it is.

Thank you CMY. I appreciate that. While I have explored the options of pills to fix it, I have found that my diet, with fear of immobility as a motivator, has been changed like never before. I lost 100 pounds after figuring out what I could eat, and I feel great. I made the decision to keep that fear as opposed to having another pill to add to my routine in order to maintain a proper diet. I don't need a crutch to overindulge, I am not that strong when it comes to good food!

He changed his diet big time too. He’s in good shape and even watching what he ate, he kept getting bad flare ups that were almost unexplained. It was debilitating. He was apprehensive about the pills but they work for him. I’m not pushing the med, just wanted to pass on his success story.
