They call it Storm Fred here and some of NC flooded. It's heading for West Mass where my cousins are.

It sucks...

We have been here 26 years and its the first time we hit 35°C / 95°F

With the Humidity it feel like 43°C / 109°F

Spoke to my dad in RI today around 1:30. Lights flickered on and off a few times but at least to that point, fortunately no power outage or damage other than a few broken tree limbs. Sounds like eye passed over Block Island. Hope everyone else is doing ok. Hurricanes (and even some tropical storms) suck.

I wish I had my camera this morning @ Prospect Park! Dozens of dogs running through the flooded lawn, pools up to 2 ft deep.
Onslow asserted order upon the pack, as he always does.
I stuck my umbrella into the ground & got soaked like a dog.
We are in Prospect 'Heights' so no real probs. I'd be surprised if the wind broke 20mph.

The storm did a dry slot pinwheel around us! Absolutely still winds all day. My rain gauge picked up a paltry 0.04" of rain by 10 AM, and went up to 0.09" by 2 PM.
