I'm glad this week is over. It's been one of those weeks where nothing is going right. Yesterday I dumped nachos in my lap during lunch. To many small irritating things to list. It's just the stuff that puts the icing on the cake when things are not going smoothly. On top of that, I just want to lay on my couch later and relax but that's not going to happen this weekend.

Stuff like that happens to me as well. And when it rains it pours. I try to take it in stride and tell myself shit happens and think first world problems and usually I feel better. If those things don't help I go home and have a nice stiff drink. lol

Maybe you and hubby need a nice night out to break up the monotony of this week.

Got the results of my sleep study. Severe Sleep Apnea is defined as stopping breathing 30 times an hour. I stop 93 times an hour. And my blood oxygen levels apparently get down to nearly 50%

Sounds like other things happened that I was not aware of. Pardon me.

Wow! I've considered doing a sleep study just to analyze what my body is doing.

After getting my sinus surgery, I sleep super good. Nine hours straight through without waking up. Unless I have to wake myself because of a dream. I always had bizarre lucid dreams. But, now they are off the hook. I can’t wait to go to sleep every night. It’s like I have a whole different life at night.

Get the machine, none of my business but it likely means you are a bit too heavy, i know i am and need to work on it. But in the meantime, you need to sleep.

I have severe as well. Diagnosed about 14 years ago when my wife said I stop breathing in my sleep. After an in hospital. Study the nurse said there was no way I had apnea, I didn’t fit the stereotype…..well, I do.
I used the cpap for a bit and take it off at 3am so I stopped using it.

Just went for another test recently and going to get fitted for a new style cpap that they think won’t be as annoying and I’ll keep on.
Best of luck to you

Be interested to hear your thoughts on the CPAP masks - I see there's several types out there.

Hi Dinonz. Regardless of the type/brand you decide to get, make sure you get an appropriate disinfectant unit. CPAP masks are a breeding ground for bacterias.

My last one was the old school full nose/mouth covering. I’m going to shoot for a small nose only tube style this time

This! I think a good one is about $300 but I may be high on that price. A guy I met caught pneumonia and his doctor said it was from not cleaning his cpap correctly. Does that sound true?

You will need to have this discussion with your provider. Not all types are suitable for all conditions.
