Yes I would go with intercity. There door to door service is bare none the best. If your trying to save 500$ you can go open trailer. I guess it's just preference.

Found another option, and that would be to have a hotshotter bring it to Texas. One driver, just pulling my car.

Go pick up a copy of "Hemming's Automotive News" at Barnes & Noble. Look under car shippers for a quality shipper. Go with an enclosed trailer. Intercity, Reliable or Horselss Carriage are the top tier shippers.

Thanks all. Received and PM suggesting Fred Mills.

He was easy to work with and the car's scheduled for pick-up tomorrow!

The driving distance between California and Texas is approximately 1577 miles or 2538 kilometers. This distance starts in California and ends in Texas.

There's always this option. Partial enclosure too.

I used Diesel Auto Express to ship my recently acquired mint Z4 from Seattle to DC and I couldn't have been happier with their service. Kept me informed throughout and even arrived 1 day sooner. I opted for open trailer and car arrived in pristine condition. $1,300.

I just shipped my new CT4-V Blackwing from Dallas to Denver and used Montway. $1200 enclosed. Picked up Monday, delivered Tuesday, everything in perfect order. Open trailer was $400 less, but the drivers of enclosed know the recipient is going to be picky. I scrutinized mine on arrival and found nothing. The driver snapped 70 photos at pickup and probably the same at drop off. Very impressive. Here is a shot right before seeing it for the very first time...
