Peated is not my favorite style but I do recommend a few brands that I thought were pretty decent.

The Distiller's Select is tad smoky, but not bad. It's about the upper limit of my tolerance for smoke, if that helps with my previous request for recommendations.

I honestly can't do the smokey alcohol any further. It was OK years ago but my palate has definitely changed. Glad you lived it OK.

It's very light on the smoke. Not blatant at all. I like it.
