Just watched the race and Ricciardo's stuck in gear jalopy that caused the YF and SC, was fun watching the JCB going in reverse with the McL hooked in the air back to the Lesmo escape opening and commiserations to Chas who was questioning the SC.
It was great seing 1975 World 500cc Champion Giacomo Agostini waving the chequered flag but looking puzzled at the ending of the race.

'Ago' is 80 YO and is looking great for his age doing something right with keeping fit and enjoying a healthy Italian diet with probably not too much pasta and sauce on the menu

Did my eyes deceive me, did I watch a safety car come out at the end of a race and the rules were followed right up until the checkered flag. Honestly it’s been sooo long since I’ve seen that it was a good job I was sat down.

Was it a dull end, course it was but unless there is a massive smash and the race has to be stopped, that’s always the way it’s been. If teams really want that to change they need to push for it as that isn’t what has been agreed.

Some teams will end up losing out when they are at the sharp end others will enjoy the extra places and inevitably some people could get heart. But hey it’s all for the show.

What a surprise race. I thought Charles was going to walk away with this one, and while Ferrari didn't have the pace, why oh why did they pit Charles for a second time instead of just letting him go? He had no chance of getting those 20 seconds back on Max after the pitstop (who was clearly way ahead of the class yet again), and by staying out they'd leave open the possibility of a safety car which is indeed what happened! It's just incredible how they screw up race after race after race, wtf is wrong with that team?

Also, HORRIBLE decision by the stewards not to red flag it. It was terribly disappointing to see that finish on TV, I can only imagine how the folks felt who spent all that money to see the race in person. Just ridiculous, Monza only comes around once a year and deserves better!
