They should be happy it finished under safety car because I highly doubt LEC or RUS would've kept their podium spots.

But only a flying start would have done it. With a re-start, I bet my car that a mass crash, at worst between the first two ones, would have ended the race.

Point of the red flag is that it's used when driving, even with safety car, becomes too dangerous or impossible.

Otherwise they could use red flag every time a sc or vsc situation is concerned.

With a red flag everyone can change tyres, front wings and other small repairs without any consequence, so that also takes away part of the tactics.

Exactly, everyone gets free repairs and fresh tires, and Max is at the front. He would immediately create a gap because of the higher downforce to go through corners quicker, plus no DRS for 2 laps. Not to mention Ferrari was gaining minimal to no time with fresh tires, and Max will have fresh tires too.

People are just salty.

I'm quite sure as well. Max seems to be so imperious right now.
But remember, Schumi's record breaking season 2004 had only 18 races. The current season has 22 races. So not a fair comparison really.

Let's keep in mind also that its Max's first ever Italian GP win at Monza, unlike the two wins he got at Emilia Romagna GP in another part of Italy,
also know as the Enzo e Dino Ferrari track.

On the other hand : There's a big chance MAX can win the 6 remaining races in this season .
In other words : 11 + 6 = 17 victories !

That's 4 victories more than M.Schumacher

Note : The 6 remaining races are actually RB18 tracks ..
MAX has a new HONDA PU + a spare PU with only 2 races on it .
Charlie won't finish this season with his current Ferrari PU ..

Have only just finished watching, I thought it was a good race, another dominant drive by Max Plenty of action throughout the field just a shame it had to end behind the SC, but (unfortunately) Max already had the race win by that time...bar a mechanical or Max failure.

A red flag & a standing restart would have made an exciting end to the race, but currently that's not the way it's done. Although I suspect it'll be something that may happen moving forward, e.g. If a car stops on circuit with x amount of laps with no chance of a quick recovery then stop the race & have a standing start & race to the finish. That would certainly be a better viewing spectacle & what with netflix/drive to survive its all about the viewing figures

Yeah the rate at which Max is progressing now in the rankings is astonishing. Equal to Mansell and only one win behind Fernando. Next target is Senna..

Great race today. Max just showing his racing brilliance and dominance in the few laps it took for him to get into attack mode on Lec. The gaps were pretty big at the end before the SC, but was incredible that Max on used M tires was able to match pace with Lec on new softs.

One by one the LION (Max) will reel them in with the streets ahead RB race car series and hopefully near retirement time the top skittle will be toppled.

Sure . But actually It's MAX who managed to do it .

I agree the Ferrari strategy is an Italian clowns circus .
