What did everyone learn to drive in?

If you can narrow it down to one or two vehicles you learned to drive in, what are they?

I personally learned, beyond sitting on my father's lap steering, on a 1986 Toyota Celica GTS manual. I was 13 years old driving in my grandparents extremely long driveway, so that was 1986 or so. Then I got my first car which was a 1986 Pontiac Fiero 2M4, which I think was 1989 at 16 years old.

Some Preludes and other cars in there but the Celica and Fiero were where I learned the bulk of my driving.

While I learned diving on the street with my dad's big boat, the 1988 VW GTi 16V was MY first car. I really loved that car .

I didn't take long for me to start modding it. Adding the 1990+ bumpers, trim, BBS and Recaro interior and adding Oettinger/Bilstein suspension, headers, exhaust, Schrick cams, etc... It looked just like the one below. I also had an Euro front plate that had especially made with "TI-3VOM" as a plate number .

My mom's car! A 1992 Pontiac Grand Am v6 -- thing was actually kinda quick. I drove it when I had my temps.

After that, got my own car (bought myself), 1990 Plymouth Acclaim V6 (also actually kind of quick for what it was). Looked very close to this, but had dark blue paint.

Blew up the motor in that due to an oil leak, then totalled it when someone ran a red light in front of me on my way home from work. Really wish we had dash cams back then, because I got blamed for it without even getting the chance to write a police statement (I was 17 at the time).

Learned to drive stick in my next car, 1987 Honda Prelude, which I bought using some of the insurance money from totalling my Acclaim. That was an awesome car. It was almost exactly like this, but without a spoiler and had more black accents on it. Loved the shit out of that car. Eventually died due to a blown head gasket. This was my first 'sporty' car.

I'll end my car saga here...takes me back, though.

I wish I did, too. But with google image search you can probably find something that looks really close.

My dad's 1973 VW 1303 Beetle 4-Speed MT with stripped interior and heavily tuned engine and suspension. No abs, power steering or ac. That was a great little car.

I selected driving school based on the car, a wonderful red E30 318i.

Dad taught me how to drive in his old Dodge Ram truck. Had to take my driving test in that boat. Then my parents hired an old lady with a 60s Beetle to teach me how to drive a manual transmission.

Took my driver test in the Camry...the S-10 almost killed me on a couple of occasions but it was fun to drive. Also had a lot of time in a 1987 Tacoma 4x4...body rusted off of the frame and that engine was still running great.

Okay, I do, but I'm still appalled.

My first car was a '01 Honda S2000 when I was 15. I pretty much learned to drive in that, however, I messed around in a Honda Del Sol a few times before that.

My mother remembers the 305's very well. Her parents had a station wagon when they were living in Middle East.
