Instrument Cluster Cleaning

Hiya… anyone got some suggestions as to what’s best to clean the analogue digital instrument cluster screen on the F90 M5…? It’s had a few courtesy washes in the past when it’s gone in to the dealer for work…but whatever they’ve sprayed onto that screen just leaves smear marks which seem very hard to remove and very annoying. Now that the car’s been detailed, I won’t be letting BMW wash the car any more but I’m a bit hesitant to randomly pick a product for fear of damaging it. I don’t have issues with the idrive screen as that just seems like regular glass but the instrument cluster seems to be a bit more delicate.
Any suggestions for a product that would make this particular part of the cleaning process easier would greatly be appreciated 👍

sorry you lost me at M5 Competition. A glass cleaner without ammonia or a product like Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze M17 Clear Plastic Cleaner and a soft, clean microfiber cloth. Don't clean in circles, up and down or back and forth.

At our shop we use diluted glass plus to clean anti-reflective coated eyeglass lenses.

Any good interior detailer should do just fine. My choice is Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer. Make sure to use long nap microfiber for application and drying wipe in order to get product on and off in those tight spaces around dial trim. Wipe off needs to be fast enough so that product doesnt dry or it will be very hard to buff off resiudes from this surface. Always work with cold display as otherwise solvents evaporate too fast and you'll be left withs residue marks.

I use WHOOSH! Screen Cleaner Spray and a soft microfiber cloth. You can also clean the idrive screen with this as well. I buy the travel size and keep it in the console. I have the touch screen and this cleaner wipes away all the finger prints and smudges. I believe that this is the same cleaner that Apple uses in store to clean screens. Works like champ and have had no issues on my 2014 428, and now my 2023 440 as well as the 2024 X5 that my wife drives.

In late 2015 and just shy of 80 years, Germany's premier manufacturer of automotive detailing products, Einszett, closed its doors. Refusing to let the story end, in early 2016, a handful of former employees of Einszett banded together to start a new company which they would name Nextzett. Their promise is to make the same great products that Einszett customers have come to love and depend on and take detailing products to the next level.
