Just brought a e60 530 M Sport

Last Tuesday i flew up to glasgow to a Arnold Clark Dealer ship and picked up a e60 530D M Sport in Gray with black leather. Its a 56 plate with 46K Miles, 232bhp and lots of grunt. "O" and its a manuel gear box.

This is going to be a bit of a weekend car / project to do up a little. I Already have the MK Wheels and ordering a twin exit exhaust and a twin exit defuser as i am trying not to go the M5 Rep route as its so over done, and its not an M5.

looked like this when i picked her up

And now,,,,,,,,at the weekend i Had a good day of car cleaning, the e60 got a good wash, clay, wash and paint clean and then another wash and polish.

The wheels are on but i need to replace the front tyres from 225 to 245 as the 225 keep comming off the rim, unless you put well over 40psi and thats not good.

Little bit of an Update

As i did not like the orange glow on the side/angel eye lights, I got hold of several of these to replace the standard bulbs

This is showing you the difference between the bulbs, New brightness on the left

Both bulbs replaced

And all 4 replaced, they are not like the e39 led bulb but they are almost as bright

Then I replaced the rear number plate bulbs with some LED items, so much brighter

Then the interior light bulbs were replaced

And then I received this today as well, it’s the BMW I Phone cradle, this works a treat.

Glade you like it, I have looked at lots of 5's from the US and thats what has given me a little inspiration, as well as being in the "Modified" world over in the UK.

I have some big plans soon, nothing to mad but nice, I will post up a progress story soon

Have a look up the page again, they are the w5w bulbs but led's, they were a simple pull out, change the bulb over and push back in again. If they dont work just take the bulb out and turn it around....

Bit of an Up Date

After getting xmas out of the way i decided to treat my self.

I decided to do the swirl flap delite. This was a bitch at first due to a hidden bolt but i got there in the end

I got some upgraded rear LED lights, and fitted them

They are a After market item

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320624965664?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1497.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.energizedcustoms.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

No errors or problems when fitted to the car, just like the origanal items but half the price.

Just waiting for my coilovers to arive now,,,, and on monday, decat, dpm delite, twin exit exhaust and roling road remap

Well, I forgot to do this yesterday so, Lights On,,,,,,

I also did a bit more to day, as its getting a remap, decat and DPF delite and exhaust on Monday I thought it would be an idea to do some maintenance, When I picked up the car I was told it had recently been serviced,

After lifting the dip stick I could tell it had not had an oil change in a while So, to day I gave her a new Oil Filter and Oil, as well as a new Air filter

Used this oil

Old and new oil filters

And the Air filter was replaced with a pipercross performance filter

And then to make my day this turned up this afternoon thanks to CA Automotive

http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk/home.php

It’s like being a kid in a candy shop

The Coilovers are being fitted Saturday, I intend on doing a full start to finish documentary on this with picks

I have the pre lci and cannot fit the "Angel eye LED marker upgrade set, for pre facelift - 03/07" i need just the bulbs. =((((. I was able to locate these from a vendor on ebay and they only light up the inner angel eye and not both which would look pretty ricer. here's the link so you can see what I'm talking about.

I ordered some carbon bits, front splitter and rear defuser, as the defuser had not arrived and the car was of to get the exhaust sorted today i bought a cheep one on friday and fitted it on saturday so the exhaust chap had some thing so he could align the twin exit exhaust pipes.

Typical, after dropping the car of this morning i get a phone call from the wife telling me a larg box has arrived from china

Twin exit carbon defuser

Bit of an update

I had the twin exit exhaust fitted several weeks ago, this is from the turbo back, removing the cat, and the dpf delite, along with a stage 2 remap, i have also fited the twin exit carbon defuser.

It sounds like a straight 6 should sound and the performance is incredible,

The car was remapped on a rolling road

standered 231bhp

1st reading, standerd with cat removed, dpf delite, pippercross air filter and custom exhaust

251bhp & 428lb torque

Last Run with remap and fine tune on the rolling road

289.8bhp & 556lb torque

A short video

Next: I Pod Intergration and some Audio
