Tag Heuer
I started a Rolex thread, but I also own two Tag Heuer watches [and I know that others on here have/like them as well]! Love the style (especially the Link band).
Sadly, my Link Automatic Chronograph's Calibre 16 auto movement started to go after a couple of years (loosing about 3-5 minutes a day while being worn). Since I am now wearing a different watch daily, I haven't had it serviced (yet), but it is still under warranty. Regardless, discuss the brand and their movements/styles! Here are some pics of my Tags:

I wear the Calibre 16 Day Date Automatic Chronograph 43 mm Ref: CV2A10.BA0796.. LOVE it but its kind of annoying that if I don't wear it for a couple days, I have to reset time and date since I don't put it in a winder.

Had two Aquaracer 500M's in the past, a silver quartz and black auto, both shown below. Probably the last Tag's I'll buy. I like many of their designs but aside from the Grand Carrera line, quality is pretty poor. My 500m auto had a stripped crown (common problem) and the overall build quality was kind of chintzy. Also had an F1, really cheap construction, but at least they're priced accordingly.

My tag - first "nice" watch. I love it so far.

Tags are wonderful.
Here is my very first nice watch that started this whole mess 20 yrs ago. It is a classic, inexpensive but I still wear it in the rotation. I do want to buy a Monaco sooner or later.

It seems like a Tag is many peoples' "first nice watch"
Good looking watches guys! Thanks for sharing photos, and keep them coming!

My only disappointment with Tag is when I called them to arrange for service to my T/H 1000. I bought the watch in 1990 for just under $400. The nice lady at Tag told me that they can no longer service the watch as they have no parts, and further that the watch is not worth servicing as the cost of service would exceed the value of the watch. Now that's what I call customer service.

My Carrera is my first "nice" watch as well. I got in the summer of 2006 and still wear it... but I recently got into a car wreck and the crystal has a small crack that stretches from 6 o'clock to 4 o'clock

I concur. My Tag is my first nice real time piece. I've always loved watches and I have many of them all in the $400-$1000 range. My Carrera Heritage Chronograph is by far the best piece I own thus far. It really does seem as though most peoples first time piece is a TAG.
Graduate from college...get good job...buy BMW...buy TAG Heuer. In that order. |
