How is the Blackberry Torch 9850 from Sprint?

I have a BB Curve 8350 which am thinking of trading it in for the BB Torch 9850 from Sprint. Does anyone have this phone now and how is it?

I've never owned a smart phone (I know, I know....I thought I was too cool for one). Anyways, I ordered an iphone 4 and my wife ordered that blackberry. The iphone is 10 times better. It responds quicker, recognizes touches better, and the pictures didn't like to pull up on the blackberry. She was replacing a blackberry too. The phone just wasn't that great. Just FYI. Just so you know, I am one of the anti-apple people too! They have made a believer out of me with that stupid iphone. I can honestly say, "I don't know how I lived without one!" To answer your question, the blackberry is "OK" and is obviously more business oriented, but it's by far not the best phone available.

Well I have stay with sprint because this is a work phone. Also, I know blackberries are not the best phones out there. But I think that the Torch would be an improvement over the BB Curve which I have now.

Couldn't get past the sliding keyboard thing. Seemed flimsy. I have a Bold, and there is a new one coming out shortly, and though I can't speak to your specific carrier, it might be worth waiting until that one is released or checking out their current Bold lineup (no touch screen on the current Bold though). If a large touchscreen is one of your priorities, I doubt the new Bold will suffice, as it's mainly for navigation, while the keyboard still exists for people like me who prefer typing with buttons.

Wait a month and get the iPhone when it comes to sprint in October.

The new bold is already out by tmobile, my friend got one, the keyboard is larger and more comfortable to type. Touchscreen, more slim body, faster internet with 4g.
