Great recipe for cookies...

Stumbled upon this today. Really differs from any traditional recipe I've come across.

But why would you want to make subway cookies when there are so many other better cookies?

Subway is the gold standard of cookies, just like how Dominos is the gold standard of pizza!

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for an appreciate, I can tell you I'm fresh out. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. Hilariously it sort of is. Italian pizza is the best and the closest we have to it in the states is probably Dominoes or Digiorno.

Sure have, I used to live there. NY pizza is garbage. Super greasy, usually no toppings, it flops all over the place like a limp dick and it has completely ruined pizza for the rest of the country because everyone tries to imitate it.

I'll agree that most of the pizza here fits that description. There are some gems though.

Man, we used to go to this place which was amazing. Can't remember what it was called, it was years ago, but it was a little hole in the wall that looked totally run down. Incredible slice.

I guess my problem is that most NY pizza is mediocre but everyone still raves about it just because it's from NY. Even here in the south we have restaurants that try to imitate it. They import the dough, the sauce, the cheese and all that and you STILL get some dipshit who went to NY one time for a high school field trip going, "uhhhh, this is pretty good but it's no NY pizza, uhhh...."

Thank God this thread got rescued. At first I thought I'd mistakenly hit on Wifey's Good Housekeeping shortcut.

Being a college town, we have a dozen or so pizza places. They all suck. I miss Greek pizza like they have in MA. Olympic Pizza in Colombian Square in Weymouth, MA has been there for 50 years. Same place, same awesome pizza. Man, how I miss that place.

#cantcookforshit

Although Wifey can, and she made a vegan (cheeseless) pizza from scratch last week and coerced me into trying it. I ended up eating half of it. It was quite good. She hit a home run with the sauce.
