As far as the cold, I'm from Connecticut so I'm used to it, I've only been in Florida for 3 years and I've adapted to the weather but when I've visited in winter it hasn't been too bad, just wear a lot of layers. Boston winters seem mild anyways compared to the winters I had in the hills of Ct.
Born in Hartford and raised in Glastonbury! Winters are not bad if you like to ski - Vermont is only an hour away....

Only $120 for a garage isn't bad, 3 blocks to walk is good exercise and really not far at all. I could get a garage spot in the building but I don't think it's worth double the price.

I was born in Hartford, raised in Branford, and then moved to Tolland when I was 16. I don't ski or do any kind of winter sports lol.

$1980/mth which includes the amenities like the gym, water, and heat. But we're splitting it so about $1,000 each. Right now I'm paying $1224 so it will be less actually since I'm living alone now.

Sounds good, if it's indoors I'd be all over it if I had the option... although it is nice being parked underground in the same building in the winter and when you've got stuff to bring up to your place.

Yeah but $260..eh...theyd o have a special where if you want to park in the garage in the building only at night during the week then it's $100. Your car cannot be parked there from 8:30-5:30 during the week except at all. They give you one day a month (sick day etc.) but that just seems like a hassle

congrats on your place and on graduating... its a great city now that the big dig is all over with, all these new parks are opening, new buildings, etc.

what i like about boston is that its a TINY city but it doesnt need big buildings to have alot of character. i run into like 10 people a day randomly just walking around the city because its so damn small.

also, if thats the WTC you live next to, you'll have a great view of planes landing also, because logan airport is right across the water from the WTC

Congrats on the new place, but stay in Florida!! Honestly!! "Feels like 19 degrees" right now!!

Lay off the shrooms, and cancel your down payment..

But on a good note, us Bostononians might finally get some sick pictures of our cars..

in any way, congratulations!

thanks, i don't think so, i mean not a thread specifically devoted to it until now, just mentioned.

I'm moving because my bf lives there, I like the city (lots of young people, shopping and restaurants), it's closer to home, I'm graduating in May and there are a lot of ad agencies in Boston and it's cheaper to live than in NYC. I don't have a job yet, I will start looking once I move.

sharing that's why I'll be paying less than I'm paying now.
