Gotta love the Sinn for being German and made out of the same steel that Germany now uses for its submarines. The Ventura is a rare piece, they are sadly out of business now after converting into a digital watch company. Ventura at one time made the BMW watches for BMW. The JLC and the Zenith are the dress watches. And the Omega is the classic, and probably gets most of the casual wrist time.
I love the zenith. i always drool over it at costco.

I alternate between a Movado Series 800 or a Citizen EcoDrive Titanium depending on my mood, dress...etc.

fun thread, but reminds me of how much less money ill have to blow on watches now that i bought the 135 :-/ there are some really nice pieces in here, you guys have taste. next up i was thinking either cartier or panerai but having seen some of these others i might have to keep looking, i like to stay under 5k though. more watches is better than more expensive watches imo.

Post the Watch you will be wearing in your 1er!

The only one that can possibly go with it for me: my beloved Panerai PAM177

I usually go with the Rolex Exploer II or Tag Aquaracer Chronograph Automatic. Although I really like the Rolex Daytona, just can't seem to find the one I want. The fun is in the search though!

I love a nice watch but my budget does not allow for some of these nice pieces some of you guys have. I have two watches I switch between. Both are Kenneth Cole. I picked up both of them for $400.

I never really liked Tag Heuer's that much, but I couldn't ignore their recent Grand Carrera line (Richard Hammond from Top Gear has one).

can't seem to find an authorized dealer anywhere with this in stock.

Here is my watch that I wear about 85% of the time. Since I really am a watch hound thru the years I've collected quite a few. My favs other than the Seiko Sportura is a Noblia WR 200, and older TAG quartz.

If it is anything like the Calibre S last year, they will not hit here until Late August/Early Sept. I learned the hard way that TAG likes to start promoting these watches way ahead of them being available in the US.

Also, it may be that the Grand Carrera is a limited production piece and then all bets are off.

Best thing to do is go to one of the largest and nicest stores in your area that sell Tag and befriend a sales clerk there.

Although I would love to have a Rolex, Movado, or an Omega. I am only 18 so this is what I wear when going out and interviews. For now this is my piece.

It has a blue faceplate, but is the same watch just couldn't find a picture.

Just tried a 177 on over the weekend at the Panerai Store on Brighton Way in Beverly Hills... it WILL be my next time piece. Glad to see you ditched the crocodile strap. I recognized it as something I would change before even leaving the store upon purchase. Also totally dig the Sinn U1 a bit earlier in the thread. I had the chance to pick up a U2 diver from a buddy a year or so ago, and in hindsight totally should have. Just couldn't bring myself to do it because from 3 feet it looks like half a dozen other watches I've already got (Silver bracelet/Black Face)

My daily is a Citizen Night Hawk in titanium. Great watch and a great value... I have literally beat this thing to pieces yet it still keeps great time and the EcoDrive is a very cool feature. I still get compliments on it (even with the burn marks in the crystal from a welding incident).

Other watches of note in the collection:
Yes Zulu in Titanium
Hamilton X-Wind Khaki Chrono
Tag Heuer Monaco Chrono (Black Face/Bracelet)
Panerai Arktos GMT PAM00186

My wife says I've got a problem, but I tell her its a better habit to have than most.

Don't know what it is about watches... I've just always loved them. I think with my being an Engineer, I really appreciate the design and engineering that it takes to create some of these pieces. Not to mention the physical man hours required to assemble them.

Granted some of these watches are expensive, but the way that I look at it is that if its the only piece of jewelry I wear, what's wrong with spending a few grand on something nice? You know your wife/GF wouldn't pass up the opportunity to wear $3k worth of diamonds right?? HAHA.

cool thread :headbang:

My next watch will definitely be a Sinn... I don't care how long I have to wait for that...
