Canon 60D & Lens recommendation

Hey, I just got my 60D about 6 months ago and I'm planning to get new lens.
I currently use the kit lens which is 18-135mm.
I'm looking for a lens that is an all around lens that will be good in car shooting, city/landscape shooting, and a daily basis lens.
What are some specific lens that fit in these categories?
Also, I'm not really sure I'm satisfied with a 60D or maybe I'm just using kit lens. I'm still a beginner at DSLRS.

Thank you, Andy.

I have the 60D as well and I think the kit lens is a really good daily lens. It gives you a really good range as a daily should. If you want a lens that is more fit for car/landscape shooting try getting a lens with a wider angle. As to what specific lens, I'll let the pros answer that

Ask yourself what capability you feel is lacking in the kit lens.
Focal length: Do you need to go longer or wider?
Speed: Do you need to shoot in lower light or produce shallower depth of field?
Sharpness: Do you just feel you aren't getting the crispness in your images you desire?

If 2 or 3 I'd consider something like the 17-55/2.8IS (though it's kind of pricey) or possibly some of the cheaper (but sharp) primes like the 50/1.4, 85/1.8 or 24/2.8.
If 1 then something like the 10-22 for ultrawide scenes and the 55-250 for moderate telephoto.

^ agree 100% unless you're ready to start spending SERIOUS $$$ on L lenses.

I got the same kit as you a few months ago. I sold my kit lens and picked up a 24-105mm f4 IS L. It's a great lens that will cover most uses including general purpose, walkaround vacation/travel, and some portraiture. The image stabilizer is a nice feature, but there are some minor downsides.

Since you're on a crop-frame, 22mm on the wide end is never really wide enough compared to what you had on the kit lens at 18mm. And, f4 aperture might limit you in low-light or indoor situations. I've found that it's a great lens with good contrast and sharpness, but if you're serious about plunking money down on L glass, you'll probably end up buying more lenses to cover the wide and telephoto focal lengths.

I had the same kit. I got a sigma 30 as my first lens just to help with low light, and then eventually got the 17-55 and sigma 10-20. Also 55-250 just for kicks. I am covered for the most part. Out of all my lenses, I use the 17-55 the most, and 10-20 just for different perspective for car shoots.
