Spanish Forum BMW censorship users
It's a shame but it is real.
The organization of BMWFAQ (a BMW spanish forum) delete and censore topics at will. You can read the complaint here: http://www.forocoches.com/foro/showthread.php?t=1548090 Greetings |

Believe me, that's not different than here at e90post.
Edit: From the way it looks (I don't know Spanish), BMWFAQ actually puts a note on whats been edited or deleted. Here stuff just mysteriously disappears. |

Well, most internet forums are privately owned and maintained. There are no laws regulating such things - it is up to the owners/moderators how to do it. Terms and conditions are usually published up front and you are supposed to read them and agree before signing up. So, while it sure is not too pleasant when someone decides to police other participants' communications, one needs to understand all of the above and take it as it is.
Try do set up and moderate a forum for once and you will know how difficult it is. |

Moving this to OT and randomly deleting a word or two from each of the posts above. Just to keep everyone on his toes.

I'm a mod on a local car forum and you're pretty much damned if you do something and damned if you don't.

Anybody else notice that the e90post mods moved this thread?
I suppose deleting it would have too obvious. Better just stick it where nobody will see it. |

Mike - that was me. I said above that I moved it to OT. Nothing secretive about it, it just doesn't belong in the General Forum.

Yes but moderators should not be inquisitors for their own interest or criterion
I do not doubt the hard and honest work that make most of the moderators, just criticize the attitude of some of them in this particular forum (BMWFAQ). Salu2 |
