MyBMW app stopped updating

Anyone else have their MyBMW app stop updating? Mine has not sync’d with either car since 9/20.

Same for me, last update 4 days ago (9/24) and I couldn't figure out why the car stopped updating location -- double checked iDrive settings, rebooted iDrive, phone, app, etc.

It is funny that they started experiencing the effects of the hurricane a couple days before it reached the US...

My car has been offline since Thursday. No traffic info and no trip data in the app.

apparently BMW is self-hosting all of the connected drive functionality at their Spartanburg location, and have zero redundancy, DR , or multisite failover capability in place.

same here... I was kind of amused that remote engine start could not work when the BMW app was down.

It also has been saying all of my windows are down.(still down as of 1AM EST) Although the car is locked with all windows closed.

Also says my most recent trip was 11:02AM on Thursday. (unless I was dreaming about going to Costco, Best Buy and the Apple Store yesterday afternoon?)

This happened to me and my wife today. Last update yesterday, the same time (11:35 pm) on both our phones, for both of our cars.

ok, so it's now 6:00AM on Friday. Somehow BMW still has not fixed the issue.

do they not have tech support guys who deal with this kind of issue 24/7? Yes, I get that there was a hurricane, but how can a giant car manufacturer like BMW not have back-up servers and a team of people who deal with this?

EDIT: very confused. this thread has less than 10 replies. We can't possibly be the only people who are seeing this problem, right?

RTTI wasn’t working for me last weekend. Today is first time driving the car since and it’s functional again.

Curiously mine resumed working last weekend (they day after I posted above), so it was only non-functional for 4-5 days.

Stopped working as of yesterday again. Also esim wifi streaming not working either.

seems to be working again as of 6PM.

however, still shows my last trip as from yesterday only. were the trips that I drove yesterday and today during the outage basically lost forever? (since they were presumably never uploaded to BMW's servers)
