It's about time that you entered the 2020's!

I've had my 15" 2023 MacBook Air since launch day. Emergency purchase because the screen died on my 2020 MBP 16" (last of the Intel i9's) and I needed a computer for work.

Other than the pains of a few odd Intel-specific apps not running, the Apple M2 silicon is awesome...and no screaming fans roasting my not-so-proverbial nuts.

Does Tiggie have a review of the new computer yet?????

Still running a 2012 MBP and a 2012 Mac Mini. Damn things are indestructible.

I had a MBP that I bought in 2014 and it still worked flawlessly in 2023, albeit slow compared to my MBP M2, not to mention the difference in the sound system.

Yep, the fan in my old MacBook Pro would roar. Haven't heard a peep out of my new one.

And yes, also interested in knowing what Tiggie thinks of JJ's new laptop.

I applaud your choice as I type on my M2 Pro laptop. Well done. BTW isn't it incredible how much faster they are?

I bought a refurbished '15 MBP in June '16 and it served me well, I replaced it about a year ago with a '23 MBP M2. Apple makes great computers and they are the standard for us photographers.

MacBook Pro with the M2 chip has a single fan, that's what I have.

Base M3 chip equipped MacBook Pro has a single fan, while M3 Pro and M3 Max chip equipped MacBook Pros have dual fans.

We should've guessed that. Just like a cat.
