That's why I went into automation. Give me relay logic, 24V, and 4-20mA anytime over the higher voltage stuff.

I could have some fun conversation with you on that very topic for the roof opening of Mercedes Benz Stadium (Atlanta)... Sure is funny how a small slip-up in the logic can create a lot of big headaches

I can imagine.

When I got started....PLC's and DCS's where just gaining popularity for the most part. So I had to learn all of the 7 basic logic gates thoroughly.

But I think learning that way made me a better programmer than going straight to ladder logic and later functional block programming.

Gave me a better perspective of what goes on behind the scenes so to speak!

Don't need to go afterwards. I obtained my degree while on active duty using the Army's tuition assistance program an now have my GI Bill for my graduate studies.

Many other service members have done the same.

It's all about taking advantage of the opportunities provided. The military provides an abundance of opportunities for education, training, work experience, growth and success, but they cant force someone to be motivated.

That's the latest problem plaguing our country. Many people are complaining about other people's success blaming their lack of opportunities, when in reality, its their lack of motivation and effort.

You're provided the food, but you will not be forced to eat. You'll have to be motivated enough to do that on your own.

@ 16 I dropped out of Ringe & Latin HS Cambridge MASS

I grew up exactly between MIT and Harvard university (central sq) some of the smartest people in the world was always near me

School Wasn't for me and my GF told me we're having twins, so I started working (repair man)

I'm just 1 notch smarter than any custodian or short order grill cook, few wrong turns and I could be a jr. assistant co-manager @ a fast food chain restaurant

My success was learning from smart business men/contractors and builders.
